Join Pakistani journalist Madeeha Syed, Marco Werman from Public Radio International’s The World, and Ali S. Asani, Professor of Indo-Muslim and Islamic Religion and Cultures at Harvard University for a conversation on the intersection of culture, journalism, and religion in today’s global environment. Based in Karachi, Syed has covered Pakistani culture for Pakistani and global media outlets for a decade. She is traveling in the USA on assignment with Dawn.com and BBC Asian Network, to report on tours by the Sufi singer Sanam Marvi, and the 10-piece fusion super group Sounds of Kolachi.
